DESCRIPTION:Fall Clean-Up Day\, Saturday 15th October. The weather forecast is favorable at the moment. We rely heavily on volunteers to get our common areas ready for winter. Your help will be greatly appreciated. If you can’t make it this weekend\, there will be another opportunity to help by clearing organic debris from the waterline at the beach areas after the lake  water level is lowered to its winter level. This will probably be 19th November\, weather permitting. \nThe work areas will be Ripple Beach/Levins Hall\, Lollipop Beach\, and Winding Cove Road Beach. Let’s plan to start at 9:00 am and with luck everything will be done by noon\nIn addition to general tidying and litter cleanup at each location\, the following tasks will need to be done: \nRipple Beach/Levins Hall\nVolley-ball nets: take down and store in Levins Hall bathrooms.\nHorse-shoe pit ropes and shoes: remove and store in bathrooms.\nPicnic tables: carry to one spot and stack at an angle to promote snow shedding and water runoff.\nSwim-zone ropes: power-wash\, set out to drain ready for storage in bathrooms.\nToy box: clean out (maybe dismantle) and store in bathrooms.\nClean-up inside Levins Hall\, sweep\, make sure fridge is empty and clean.\nMove large buoys from water’s edge to bathrooms.\nMove scales and sign from weigh station to bathroom.\nOnce all requirements for water are complete\, drain-down and winterize water system in Levins Hall. \nLollipop Beach\nGoose deterrent fencing: pick up and straighten for storage at Fred Sellars’s home\nVolley-ball nets: take down and take to Levins Hall to store in bathrooms. SUMMARY:Fishing Derby:  Bi-Weekly Series
DESCRIPTION:Hello fellow anglers – We will be having a series of five bi-weekly fishing derbies beginning on June 25th. \nAs in years past\, please pre-register for each Saturday.  This makes it easier for Steve to set up our scoring sheet and also makes sure we don’t have too many boats fishing.  Please check in at Steve’s dock at 8:45 AM.  (2nd dock South of Ripple Beach) Fishing will start at 9 AM\, lines out by noon\, and we’ll weigh in at Lollipop beach immediately after. \nRegistration will be $10 per boat\, with a max of 2 anglers per boat. All money will be split among the top 3 finishers.  While you certainly don’t need to fish every Saturday\, an “angler team of the year” will be calculated for extra fun. \nRules: \n\nEach day of the tournament the total boat entry fee collected will be divided between three winners: 50% of total fee to winner\, 30% to second place\, 20% to third place.  A special prize courtesy of Far Hills Association Social will be awarded to the boat that caught the “lunker” – heaviest fish caught of the morning\nAll boats must have an FHA sticker and be equipped with a live well to keep fish alive – inspections may occur at registration\nPoints on each tournament will be awarded as follows:\n\n\nTwo points per fish caught and alive at weigh in – no points for fish not alive\nOne point for every pound in the bag (no rounding up)\nWeight of any small mouth bass will be doubled\nThree points for the “lunker”\n\n\nThere will be an end of year accumulation of points to declare an “Angler of the Year” – AOY  Points will be determined by:\n\n\nTotal cumulative points from tournaments fished\n5 points for every tournament fished\n\n  \nPlease contact Steve Hogan if you have questions or want to pre-register:  shogan710@gmail.com \n

DESCRIPTION:Hello fellow anglers – We will be having a series of five bi-weekly fishing derbies beginning on June 25th. \nAs in years past\, please pre-register for each Saturday.  This makes it easier for Steve to set up our scoring sheet and also makes sure we don’t have too many boats fishing.  Please check in at Steve’s dock at 8:45 AM.  (2nd dock South of Ripple Beach) Fishing will start at 9 AM\, lines out by noon\, and we’ll weigh in at Lollipop beach immediately after. \nRegistration will be $10 per boat\, with a max of 2 anglers per boat. All money will be split among the top 3 finishers.  While you certainly don’t need to fish every Saturday\, an “angler team of the year” will be calculated for extra fun. \nRules: \n\nEach day of the tournament the total boat entry fee collected will be divided between three winners: 50% of total fee to winner\, 30% to second place\, 20% to third place.  A special prize courtesy of Far Hills Association Social will be awarded to the boat that caught the “lunker” – heaviest fish caught of the morning\nAll boats must have an FHA sticker and be equipped with a live well to keep fish alive – inspections may occur at registration\nPoints on each tournament will be awarded as follows:\n\n\nTwo points per fish caught and alive at weigh in – no points for fish not alive\nOne point for every pound in the bag (no rounding up)\nWeight of any small mouth bass will be doubled\nThree points for the “lunker”\n\n\nThere will be an end of year accumulation of points to declare an “Angler of the Year” – AOY  Points will be determined by:\n\n\nTotal cumulative points from tournaments fished\n5 points for every tournament fished\n\n  \nPlease contact Steve Hogan if you have questions or want to pre-register:  shogan710@gmail.com \n
