SUMMARY:Fall Cleanup - Volunteers Needed
DESCRIPTION:Fall Cleanup Day is approaching. This year it will be Saturday 14 October. Please join us to get our shared FHA spaces ready for the winter season. The main areas will be Ripple Beach\, Lollipop Beach\, and Winding Cove Road Beach. Start at 9:00 am either at your nearby beach or at Ripple from where you could head to other areas if needed. \nWe will take down the volleyball nets and gather the horseshoes at Lollipop and Ripple beaches and store them at Levins Hall\, We will move and stack picnic tables. We will gather together the fencing around the plants at Lollipop. The sandy area at Ripple Beach will be freshly raked/loosened\, so we will need some folks to help pick up the weeds and grass. We will need to move the large white “no wake” and “swim zone” buoys from the water’s edge at Ripple Beach\, power-wash them\, and store them in the bathrooms. There may be a couple of other special tasks too\, one of which will need a chain saw. Please let me know how you will be able to help in this annual event.\nNote that there will be a second clean-up day at the beach areas after the water has been lowered to it’s winter level. Target date is Saturday 18 November. We will need to rake and otherwise clean up debris from the beaches\, especially the freshly exposed areas. \nThank you for helping!\nRoger Allen\nmaintenance@farhillsassociation.com

SUMMARY:Lake Drawdown
DESCRIPTION:Lake drawdown will start on Monday\, 10/30/23.  Depending on weather\, the lake lowering of 33” will take about two weeks.  The purpose of the lowering each winter is to help control the growth of nuisance weeds around the perimeter of the lake.  Please consider these dates when removing your boat or working on your waterfront.
